MPG's work focuses on meeting the needs and improving the wellbeing of people marginalised
from the mainstream, especially those who face racialised discrimination.
Our ecosystem of programs includes the:
Award-winning Hip Hop Garden Programme —
Promoting wellbeing and entrepreneurship through hip-hop and nature.
Natural City Living (NCL) — Nature-based workshops for green skills and community gardening.
Come We Grow — Nature and music events led by participants in our programmes and network.
Bee Rooted — Sustainable racial justice consultancy and training.
Our community hub in South London is a co-created, multi-purpose space that embraces
eco-conscious and Afrocentric values. Inside you'll find:
A creatively painted space designed and decorated with sustainable materials/ items.
Complete with a functioning and equipped plant-based kitchen
Community living room and wellness/ praying areas.
Our garden boasts various permaculture/ agro-ecological values and features:
Ponds (feat. aquatic life)
Composting and Wormery System (soil, humus)
Cob Oven (outdoor natural oven)
Straw Bale Classroom (outdoor natural music/ studio)
Polytunnel (nursery for growing plants)
Forest Garden/ Orchard (various fruits/ edible plants)
